Sometimes I think about this.
What if I had done nothing.
No business.
No investing.
No extra action at all.
Honestly, my life would probably still work.
Barely, but it would work.
Tight, but manageable.
But then I imagine the future.
A retirement with no options.
Having to work because I must.
Staying where I am because I can’t move.
Enduring situations I don’t want because I can’t say no.
For me, that isn’t living.
That’s slow exhaustion.
When people talk about retirement anxiety,
they usually mean money.
But the real fear was never about numbers.
It was about losing freedom.
Losing the ability to choose.
To refuse.
To change direction.
So I moved.
Not for luxury.
Not for dreams.
Not to prove anything.
I moved to leave myself options.
If you do nothing, life may continue.
But often at the cost of your future self.
So I build quietly.
No drama.
No shortcuts.
Just steady accumulation.
Because when the future arrives,
the only thing that truly matters
is whether you can still choose.
